ABOUT PRODUCTID 41554
The PS 2017 table lamp or wall lamp, designed by O. Wihlborg for IKEA’s limited PS collection, is crafted from metal with a smooth, matte surface in a rich, warm shade of yellow. The construction features a wide, slightly conical shade paired with a geometric base—both in matching yellow—while the white inner diffuser ensures even light distribution. Three visible metal screws securing the diffuser introduce a subtle industrial accent. This lamp offers dual functionality: it can stand on a surface as a table lamp or be mounted on the wall as a sconce, underlining its versatility. The model, created in the 21st century, references Scandinavian modernism and minimalism, in line with contemporary reinterpretations of classic forms. Condition is rated as very good, with only minor traces of use typical for pre-owned items. This lamp’s form is a story of contemporary simplicity, consciously drawing inspiration from industrial and military lighting. The yellow, matte metal evokes the dawn over a Scandinavian city, where light is both anticipated and cherished. The lamp speaks in the language of the 21st century: it asserts itself confidently, without excess. Its bold silhouette and the contrast between white and yellow create an atmosphere of energy and freshness, as if every moment might be the beginning of a new story. This model can be used in living rooms, workspaces, or bedrooms—wherever a strong yet versatile accent is needed. It fits seamlessly into interiors inspired by Scandinavian style, mid-century modern, as well as minimalist or loft arrangements. Pair it with natural wood, polished steel, or colorful plastic accessories; its geometric form balances organic textures, and the vibrant color enlivens even the most subdued palette.
