ABOUT PRODUCTID 38703
This glass table lamp, designed by Stephan Tabera and produced by OPP Jihlava in 1970s Czechoslovakia, is an exemplar of modernism and the space age aesthetic. Its organic, hourglass-shaped silhouette is crafted from molded, layered glass with a glossy finish, flowing in color from deep red at the base, through vibrant orange, to a yellow accent near the top. With dimensions of 35 cm in height and 26 cm in width, the lamp’s construction is free of unnecessary ornamentation, relying on harmonious proportions and clean lines. A white cord with a plastic inline switch leads to an E27 bulb socket, maintaining the lamp’s original functionality. The glass surface is perfectly smooth, highly reflective, and free of visible seams. The lamp is preserved in very good condition—no damage, chips, or scratches, complete and fully functional. The form of this lamp carries the spirit of the 1970s, when Czech modernism broke conventions by experimenting with glass and color. The smooth, fluid color transitions evoke the play of light through colored panes, infusing interiors with energy and optimism. The glass reflects its surroundings like a calm sheet of water, subtly marking the passage of the day, while the yellow band crowns the form like a beam of sunlight
