ROMB 48 is a geometric table lamp designed by Broberg & Ridderstråle in 2021. The piece is constructed from metal or aluminum and finished in a matte, off-white hue. Two stacked rhomboidal volumes create a distinctive, monolithic form—proportions are harmonious, and the surface is uninterrupted by visible joints. Fine vertical ribbing runs across the lamp’s exterior, lending tactile depth and a visually appealing texture. Light is directed both upwards and downwards, resulting in diffused, atmospheric illumination. A 250 cm cord offers flexibility in placement. ROMB 48 conveys restraint and architectural precision—its crisp lines and rhythmic texture evoke the language of contemporary Scandinavian design, where the interplay of light and shadow is central. The lamp reads as a luminous sculpture, its presence introducing a subtle tension between tranquil form and the shifting play of light on its ribbed surface. The minimalist approach does not overpower the space but underlines its sense of balance.
