ROMB MINI is a geometric table lamp designed in 2021 by Broberg & Ridderstråle. The construction features two vertically stacked rhomboidal volumes made of metal or aluminum, finished with parallel, matte surfaces in graphite grey. A fine vertical ribbed texture gives the lamp a distinct yet restrained tactile quality, emphasizing its sculptural identity. The proportions are balanced: 8 cm wide, 19 cm high, and 15 cm deep. Light is directed both upwards and downwards, creating a soft ambient glow that accentuates the ribbed structure of the housing. The poised form of ROMB MINI creates a calm narrative, where light and shadow become compositional elements. The rhythmic ribbing evokes the subtle movement of light across water or the shadow play on architectural details.
