ABOUT PRODUCTID 10701
This 1970s space age table lamp exemplifies the era’s fascination with organic, futuristic forms. Made entirely of marbled glass, the lamp features a distinctive mushroom-shaped profile: a broad, domed shade flows seamlessly into a flared, tulip-like base. The soft ivory hue, accented by subtle marbled patterns, extends across both the shade and the base, emphasizing the unified, organic character of the design. The satin-matte finish gently diffuses light, lending a smooth, almost seamless appearance with no visible joints. A small, gold-toned metal finial crowns the shade, providing a restrained decorative touch. The lamp requires two E14 bulbs. The piece is in very good condition, with only minor wear visible on the gold-toned finial securing the shade. This lamp tells the story of the 1970s, when designers drew inspiration from the cosmos and the dawn of the technological age. Space-age forms, rendered in glass, offered a sense of levitation – as if the lamp were hovering just above the table surface. The marbled motif evokes nebulas and cloudscapes, allowing the light to emerge softly and indirectly, with a diffused, ethereal quality. The metallic accent atop the shade recalls a discreet signal from the future – subtle, yet integral to the whole. The lamp can be placed on a low, dark wood sideboard or a minimalist side table, highlighting its flowing silhouette. It works well in retro-inspired interiors,
