This table lamp from Wirtpol Electrical Works in Białystok stands as a striking example of mid-century Polish industrial design, marked by the aesthetics of both mid-century modern and space age influences. Its two-part construction features a sculptural conical glass base in a warm, honey-amber hue and a wide, flattened saucer-shaped shade made of milky opaline glass, joined by a visible brushed metal collar with perforations and protruding screws. Together, these elements create a bold, dynamic silhouette, while the glossy glass surfaces softly diffuse light, lending the lamp an atmospheric presence. The piece retains its original electrical components, including a switch and flat plug, and is fitted for E14 candle-type bulbs. The lamp is preserved in very good condition, free from visible repairs, chips, or damage. There is a distinct spirit of Polish modernism in this lamp: its geometric form and interplay of materials tell the story of an era when industrial precision met the quest for new, expressive shapes. The honey-amber base evokes the warmth of old workshops, while the milky shade diffuses light like a fog rolling over a cityscape. This is an object that continues to draw the eye, inviting a moment of pause—as if recalling the days when Polish factories fearlessly experimented with form and color, inspired by the optimism of the space age.The lamp could be placed on a low
