The telescopic table lamp by Trio Leuchten, produced in 1980s Germany, exemplifies the era’s postmodern dialogue between geometric playfulness and considered functionality. Its structure is built upon two parallel, telescopic chrome-plated metal rods, which allow smooth adjustments of both height and shade angle. The domed base and matching hemispherical shade are crafted from high-grade plastic in a uniform, creamy ivory tone, extending across the joints and housing. The surface is finished in a high-gloss polish, ensuring the lamp’s presence is accentuated by reflected light. A prominent rectangular rocker switch, also in the same hue, is integrated into the rear right of the base, while a classic white PVC cord with a European plug completes the assembly.
