This bedside table lamp, designed by Carl Fagerlund for the Swedish manufacturer Orrefors in the 1960s, is a striking example of Scandinavian modernism in glass and brass. Its base consists of three solid, transparent glass hexagonal prisms, separated by cylindrical brass spacers in a subtly patinated golden tone. The lamp is topped with a classic, matte white fabric shade that complements the clarity of the glass and the warmth of the brass. Measuring 19 cm in height (without the shade), with a base of 6 × 5 cm, its proportions highlight the restrained geometry of the form. The white cord features an inline switch. The lamp is preserved in excellent vintage condition – with no damage or signs of restoration; both glass and brass elements are well maintained. This lamp echoes the voice of the Scandinavian 1960s: austerity meeting light, with Swedish design allowing noble materials to speak in their own language. The glass gleams with a certain lightness, as if storing the morning sun, while the brass introduces warmth and softness through subtle contrast. There is respect for craftsmanship and a clear declaration: less is more, and light – even in a small form – can be precise and expressive. The lamp finds its place perfectly on a bedside table in a mid-century modern bedroom or on a console in a minimalist living room.
