This table lamp, designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in the 1960s, exemplifies the Italian mid-century modern ethos. The sculptural opaline glass shade, with its smooth, cloud-like form, transitions gracefully from a rounded top through a wider midsection and tapers softly at the base. The chromed metal base, comprised of a flat disc and a spherical element, anchors the lamp both visually and structurally, providing a mirror-like contrast to the luminous white glass. Measuring 30 cm in height and 14 cm in diameter, the lamp’s proportions are harmonious, with the dominant glass shade balanced by the sleek base. All components—glass and chrome—are preserved in excellent condition, showing no visible wear, damage, or restoration. This lamp echoes the spirit of Italian dolce vita in the 1960s: a dialogue between glass and metal that reflects the era’s fascination with form, light, and material innovation in Murano studios. The shade, resembling a captured pearl afloat on its chrome pedestal, diffuses and reflects
