This vintage table lamp, produced by the Italian manufacturer Mazzega in the 1960s/70s, exemplifies the bold spirit of mid-century modern design. Its distinctive spherical shade is crafted from white opaline glass with a subtly mottled, textured surface that diffuses the light in a gentle, atmospheric manner. The base is also made from opaline glass, featuring a striking gradient that transitions from deep orange at the neck to warm yellow at the widest part, reminiscent of a glowing sunset. The glossy glass finish enhances the lamp’s luminous quality, while chrome-plated details – a circular collar and central rod – introduce an industrial accent.
