ABOUT PRODUCTID 6253
This large table lamp, designed by Ugo Zaccagnini and produced in Italy during the 1960s, features a substantial vase-shaped ceramic base glazed in a saturated, warm yellow with a pronounced crackle effect. At the center, a matte, olive-green ornamental motif—a stylized lion’s head with a ring—adds a sculptural accent with a subtly rough texture. The edges of the base are defined by a dark brown, almost coppery trim, which enhances the lamp’s silhouette and introduces a sense of contrast. The ceramic surface is glossy from the glaze, while the ornament remains matte. The original, trapezoidal lampshade is crafted from a light beige fabric with a delicate woven structure, gently diffusing the light and imparting a soft glow. The geometric proportions and decorative motif signal mid-century modern influences with a neoclassical undertone, reflecting the refined character of postwar Italian design. The lamp is in very good vintage condition, with only minor signs of age, such as a faint stain on one corner of the shade. This lamp channels the narrative of Italian elegance from the 1960s, where bold colour and refined detail meet
