ABOUT PRODUCTID 37573
This Biedermeier tableware set from early 20th-century Denmark comprises a salt shaker, a pepper shaker, and a cruet for liquid condiments. Each piece is crafted from double-layered crystal glass in a deep, saturated cobalt blue, hand-cut into transparent, faceted patterns that catch and reflect the light. The glass has a glossy, polished finish, while the forms are well-balanced: bulbous bodies transition smoothly into slender necks, capped with intricately shaped stoppers and lids. The bases and lids are made of silver-plated brass, adorned with raised floral and ornamental motifs characteristic of the Biedermeier style. Underside signatures confirm the authenticity of the set. The condition is very good – only subtle traces of patina and minor wear on the metal elements are visible, highlighting the age and noble character; the glass remains free of cracks or chips. This set tells the story of an era when the ritual of daily meals blended tradition with refinement. The deep cobalt hue evokes the cool light of northern tables, while the silver-plated, ornamental bases suggest the charm of bygone tea gatherings and family
