ABOUT PRODUCTID 5766
This tall, narrow Biedermeier cabinet from Northern Europe, circa 1860, exemplifies the era’s dedication to restrained elegance and practical design. The piece features a single, rounded front door with a gentle arch, accented by a decorative brass keyhole escutcheon. Flanking the door are vertical pilasters with carved capitals, introducing a classical nuance to the otherwise clean lines. At the base, a single drawer with a matching brass escutcheon and a shaped apron with gentle curves complete the composition. Crafted from softwood veneered in deep, warm-toned mahogany, the surface displays a rich, expressive grain, highlighted by a lustrous, high-gloss French polish. Inside, wooden shelves provide versatile storage, making the cabinet suitable as a drinks bar or for other uses. All hardware appears original or faithfully period
