This early 20th-century Art Nouveau tea caddy, attributed to the Poschinger glassworks in Germany, is a testament to the era when everyday objects merged function with artistry. Its cylindrical body is crafted from transparent, satin-frosted glass, adorned with dynamic, hand-applied pink glass veining that encircles the vessel in irregular, organic lines—an unmistakable hallmark of Art Nouveau. The lid, made of white nickel-plated brass, is gently domed and finished with a narrow, embossed ornamental border. The vessel’s proportions are harmonious: a softly rounded shoulder eases into clean, vertical sides, measuring 17 cm in height and 10.5 cm in diameter. The matte glass surface softly diffuses light, creating a delicate, mist-like effect across its contours.
