This set of six faience teacups with matching saucers dates to the second half of the 19th century, bearing the mark of the renowned British manufacturer Charles Meigh. Typical of the Victorian era, the design exhibits harmonious proportions: cups measuring 10 cm in width and 6 cm in height, with saucers at 15 cm in diameter. The cool, slightly bluish white glaze serves as a backdrop for intricate, hand-colored transfer decorations—floral garlands in shades of soft pink, lavender, yellow, and green intertwine with deep blue scrollwork and delicate black outlines. Each rim is finished with a thin, hand-applied gold band, enhancing the set with a subtle gleam, while the entire surface is glossy and smooth to the touch.
