ABOUT PRODUCTID 12769
This WMF teapot from the early 20th century is an example of Art Nouveau design crafted in silver-plated brass. The organically flared body, with a soft matte, silver-grey finish, displays the fluid lines characteristic of Jugendstil, while the marked, structured base ensures stability. The upper part of the teapot and lid are adorned with a rhythmic band of horizontal grooves, and the elongated, slender spout with a subtly angular profile adds architectural precision to the overall form. The geometric handle, featuring a pronounced inner bevel and visible rivets, attests to solid construction and craftsmanship, while the conical finial with vertical ribbing echoes the geometric theme. The surface shows gentle scratches, patina, and local abrasions that reveal the underlying brass—these are typical signs of age and use, though the item remains structurally intact. Preserved in good condition, the teapot conveys a sense of authenticity and a visible trace of its historical journey.
