This Art Deco teapot with warmer, produced by HKE in Germany in the 1950s, exemplifies the modern approach to mid-century kitchenware. The body is made of porcelain in hues of white and warm beige, while the central cylindrical section and lid are finished with a highly polished, silver-plated metal sleeve. The metal surface is mirror-like and reflective, and the vertically ribbed, conical metal handle on the lid adds a subtle geometric accent, characteristic of the Art Deco style. Inside, the warmer is lined with wool felt to help retain heat. The form combines a straight-sided body with a gently curved handle and a slender spout, with seamless, precise transitions between porcelain and metal. The teapot holds 0.9 liters, weighs 1 kg, and its proportions (height 19.5 cm, width 20.5 cm, depth 12 cm) make it convenient for everyday use. The piece is in good condition – there is some patina, light scratches, scuff marks, and internal discoloration, all typical for its age and materials, but the object remains original and shows no signs of repairs.
In its form, one can sense the spirit of the 1950s, when German design sought a balance between function and decoration. The
