This early 20th-century Art Nouveau toothpick holder, produced by renowned German manufacturer WMF, exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of the period. The piece consists of two elements: a clear, conical glass insert with a delicately frosted spiral cut, and a silver-plated pewter holder finished in a deep, aged silver tone with natural patina. Distinctive openwork side panels and a central laurel wreath motif reflect Art Nouveau's organic inspiration, complemented by a wide, flared base with radiating ribbed lines. The upper rim features a repeating organic ornament, while the overall form is slender, vertical, and fluid.
