This porcelain toothpick holder, created by the Ćmielów manufactory in 1929, embodies the Art Deco aesthetics characteristic of the 1920s and 1930s. The figural form, modeled on a toucan, is defined by expressive geometric lines and stylized abstraction. The sculptural highlight is the large, stylized beak in an intense red-orange, contrasted by deep black accents on the tail, eye contour, and narrow crest. These are harmoniously balanced with the warm, creamy white of the high-gloss porcelain glaze. Made in a single mold, the piece is seamless, with precisely applied colors and finely marked details, especially around the eye and crest. Compact dimensions (8 x 8 x 4 cm) ensure stable, balanced proportions. The piece is in excellent preserved condition—the glazed surface remains uniformly lustrous with no crazing, wear, damage, or restoration visible.
