ABOUT PRODUCTID 22331
This rectangular Art Deco tray was crafted in Poland circa 1920. The structure features a frame of brass plated with silver or nickel, finished to a high-gloss, mirror-like sheen in a cool, silvery tone. The interior is filled with a perfectly fitted clear glass plate, set within the clean lines of the metal surround. Four small spherical feet, each topped with a decorative ball finial, gently elevate the tray above the surface. The piece is defined by its geometric symmetry and simplicity—hallmarks of the Art Deco movement. Smooth, rounded edges and meticulously joined corners highlight the craftsmanship typical of the era. The muted silver palette and glass insert create subtle reflections, catching the light with every movement. The tray is preserved in very good condition, with no visible signs of wear, scratches, or damage. This object echoes the spirit of the interwar years—a period when functionality met a fascination with geometric order. The metallic luster reflects light like a morning sunbeam across a café table, while the glass evokes the ambiance of urbane interiors where serving drinks became a refined ritual. Its balanced proportions and understated detail speak to an era that valued clarity of form and discreet sophistication: within this tray lies the story of a city salon, of conversations exchanged over glasses, and of the harmony Art Deco brought to everyday rituals. The tray could be displayed on a low sideboard of dark wood or marble, where its mirrored surface contrasts with natural materials
