This large, two-arm wall sconce from the early 20th century is crafted from highly polished brass and glass in a subtle, milky pistachio hue. The construction is robust, with an eclectic approach to ornamentation—an oval backplate adorned with raised scrollwork and beaded edges, and arms shaped like cornucopias with deep grooves and volutes. The spherical glass shades are attached to the arms with visible screws, while the overall color palette features a warm, intense gold with a mirror-like finish. The smooth, reflective surfaces of brass and glass amplify the fixture’s statement character. Professionally restored, the sconce remains in excellent condition, with no visible traces of wear, tarnish, or patina.This lighting fixture seems to whisper the story of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when eclecticism met the grandeur of classicism.
