This two-piece chest of drawers from the 1960s exemplifies mid-century modern German design, blending solidity with refined simplicity. The body is crafted from ash veneer in a warm, honey-brown tone, complemented by a yellow Formica-coated top surface on the lower section. The upper part features an open shelving unit with three evenly spaced shelves, while the lower section offers three deep drawers on the left and a single-door cabinet on the right. Integrated wooden handles emphasize the geometric discipline of the design, and the whole piece stands on four square-section white steel legs, lending a sense of modern elevation. The construction is precise, with careful attention to joinery and a matte-to-satin finish that highlights the natural wood grain. The chest is in very good condition—restoration has been carried out discreetly, preserving the authenticity and quality of the original materials.
