This two-seater sofa, designed by Boris Hála for TON in 1986, is a fine example of late Central European modernism, where crafted detail and functional simplicity coalesce into a single, clear form. The frame, composed of robust walnut sides and legs, is highlighted by rounded corners and subtle channels, which emphasize both the solidity and architectural cadence of the piece. The seat and back are supported by wide, interwoven dark brown natural leather straps—a detail that exposes the sofa’s inner structure while lending visual stability. Upholstery consists of supple, dark brown leather with a matte finish, showcasing a harmonious, unified grain and a discreet patina that imparts a vintage sensibility.
