ABOUT PRODUCTID 17178
This glass vase, produced in the 1930s or 1940s by the De Rupel glassworks in Boom, Belgium, exemplifies meticulous craftsmanship in the spirit of Art Deco. Rendered in a soft, satin-matte ivory white, subtly warmed by light, it is decorated with regularly spaced clear glass dots that create an elegant rhythm against the semi-opaque surface. Lustrous gold bands—one broad ring at the neck and a pair encircling the widest part—are complemented by slender parallel lines at the lower body and the base, reinforcing a sense of geometric balance. The overall form is bulbous with a gently narrowing foot and neck; seamless transitions between shapes showcase the high quality of production. The vase remains in very good condition: only minor abrasions to the gilding and a small internal chip at the rim are present, typical for genuine period pieces. This vessel speaks to the era of the 1930s and 1940s, a time when glass objects were valued as much for their tactile details as for their utility. The way light diffuses across the frosted surface lends the piece a soft, tonal atmosphere, while the gilded accents recall the golden glow of Belgian interiors from the interwar years. Every dot seems to echo a fascination with decoration and order—an Art Deco hallmark where harmony and innovation went hand in hand. The vase can be placed in living rooms or home offices curated with Art Deco or modernist collections. It pairs well
