This Art Deco vase, produced by the Hortensja glassworks in Piotrków Trybunalski around 1930, exemplifies the period's Polish utilitarian glass design. Crafted from pressed glass colored in mass to a cool, translucent light blue with a subtle opalescent sheen, the vase features a harmonious, architectural silhouette. Its matte, satin-finished surface gently diffuses the light, while the wide, flared opening narrows towards a stepped, hexagonal base. The thickened, scalloped rim adds a tactile dimension, and a raised floral frieze with stylized roses and leaves encircles the upper body, referencing both geometric and organic Art Deco inspirations. The piece measures 15 cm in height, 24 cm in width, and 15.5 cm in depth. It survives in excellent, original condition, with no visible damage or signs of restoration. The form of this vase echoes the spirit of modernism and optimism of the 1920s and 1930s, a time when Polish glassworks sought new expressions that balanced modernity and ornament. The matte finish and iridescent hue conjure the image of morning mist over water—a visual impression of delicacy and solidity. The floral frieze recalls the memory of old gardens, rendered in the disciplined geometry of Art Deco. This is
