ABOUT PRODUCTID 1969
This vase, designed by Josef Hoffmann for the renowned glassworks Ludwig Moser & Sohne in 1922, is a testament to early modernist and Art Deco artistry. The body, made of high-quality crystal glass in a deep amethyst hue verging on black, is defined by sharp, faceted planes resulting from flat-cut polishing. Its wide, cylindrical form is accentuated by clean geometric lines, while the highly glossy, mirror-like surface reflects light to emphasize the cool violet tone of the glass. Around the upper section, a broad etched and gilded frieze features a matte gold finish, depicting a continuous procession of ancient warriors and mythological figures.
