ABOUT PRODUCTID 41484
This uranium glass crystal vase, produced by the Zawiercie Glassworks in the 1930s, exemplifies the high artistic and technical standards of Polish Art Deco glassmaking. The vase features a luminous, translucent yellow-green tone, characteristic of uranium glass, with the color intensifying at the thicker base and flared rim. Its form resembles a trumpet-shaped cup set on a stepped pedestal, lending both balance and stability. The surface is adorned with intricate, hand-cut leaf motifs typical of the geometric and decorative trends of the era. The glass is smooth to the touch, with sharp, precise cuts in the pattern. The vase is in very good condition, showing no visible signs of use, damage, or restoration. This piece carries the spirit of its time—a period when Art Deco combined modernity with refined ornament. The glowing color of uranium glass, playing with natural light, recalls the era’s fascination with luminosity and material innovation. The rhythmic geometry of the cut motifs allows the vase to ‘speak’ of an age when every detail was carefully considered and decorative flair expressed the optimism and elegance of the interwar years. The vase could be displayed on a walnut or black oak console, where its glass surface will beautifully reflect the light. It would work well as a single accent in a living room or hallway styled with Art Deco, modernist, or eclectic collector’s interiors. It may be paired with dark lacquered surfaces, geometric mirrors, or minimalist ceramics to underscore the noble quality of the glass and its decorative cut.Height: 16 cm, diameter: 9.5 cm. Made of crystal uranium glass, hand-cut. Gentle cleaning with a soft, dry cloth is recommended; avoid contact with harsh detergents. The vase is preserved in very good condition, free of damage.
