This glass vase from the 'Aurinkopullo' (Sunflower) series, designed by Helena Tynell in 1964 for Riihimäki Lasi, stands as one of the most iconic examples of 1960s Scandinavian design. Crafted from transparent glass with a cool undertone, it features a flattened bottle shape with a short, cylindrical neck and a wide, flat rim. The deeply molded sunburst relief radiates from a central, slightly concave circle on both sides, creating a pronounced, three-dimensional texture. The thick, seamless glass attests to the high-quality craftsmanship of Finnish glassworks. The original 'Made in Finland' sticker remains on the neck, confirming its authenticity. The vase is preserved in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or signs of wear.
