This large glass vase from the 1950s, designed by Vicke Lindstrand for the Kosta glassworks in Sweden, exemplifies refined Scandinavian modernism. Its tall, slender silhouette gently tapers towards the top, anchored by a rounded base, emphasizing a pursuit of geometric simplicity. The thick, transparent glass creates a sense of depth, while the primary decorative element consists of vertical stripes—deep black and subtle purple—encased within the glass, forming an elegant linear rhythm along the vessel’s height. The base is signed "kosta lh 1388," confirming authenticity and origin. The vase’s surface is smooth, glossy, and highly light-transmissive, highlighting both its minimalist ornamentation and the craftsmanship involved. The piece is preserved in very good vintage condition, free from visible chips, cracks, or significant traces of use.

The vase speaks of a time when design was meant to be both functional and
