This ceramic vase, designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi and produced in Italy in the 1970s, features a rounded, slightly flattened shape with a small, narrow neck and a subtly raised lip. The dominant color is a deep, saturated cobalt blue, interrupted by wide horizontal bands in muted shades of light gray, beige, and pale blue. The surface is finished with a high-gloss glaze, creating a mirror-like effect that enhances the depth of the colors. The irregular, textured bands reveal the grainy structure of the chamotte clay beneath the glaze, and in less glazed areas, subtle traces of hand-throwing and a slightly rough texture are visible.
