The ceramic vase from the Campina series, designed by Max von Jungwirth for Amphora in the 1920s, represents Secessionist (Art Nouveau) craftsmanship from the Austro-Hungarian region (Turn-Teplitz, now Czech Republic). Made from ceramic with a sandy beige, speckled, matte surface and a distinctly tactile texture, the vase features a robust construction and a hand-modeled, raised floral frieze encircling the upper and lower sections. The floral motif, with its strong outlines and lively color scheme, pulses with the energy of the early twentieth century, when art was intended as an integral part of daily life. The glossy black rim and bead-like motifs introduce rhythm, recalling the musicality and dynamism characteristic of Art Nouveau interiors. This vase could be paired with dark wood or vene
