The 'Cyntia' vase is a notable example of Polish artistic glass from the 1970s and 1980s, designed by Zbigniew Horbowy for the Barbara Artistic Glassworks in Polanica-Zdrój, part of the Inwald group. Crafted from mass-colored soda-lime glass, it features a deep cobalt blue as its base color, boldly interrupted by an asymmetrical white ribbon running the entire height of the vessel. The body is rounded and bulbous, tapering upward into a cylindrical neck that subtly flares at the rim. The surface is finished to a high gloss, almost mirror-like, with no visible seams—testament to its skilled hand-blown construction. Measuring 29 cm in height and 14 cm in both width and depth, the vase is preserved in very good condition, with no visible chips, scratches, or signs of restoration.The expressive form and saturated colors capture the essence of Polish modernism, where simplicity and the power of color defined the design language.
