The 'Cyntia' vase, designed by Zbigniew Horbowy and produced in the 1970s-80s by the 'Barbara' Artistic Glassworks in Polanica-Zdrój (a division of Inwald Glassworks), is a notable example of late 20th-century Polish art glass. Crafted from cased, colored soda glass, the vase features a warm, milky ivory hue with a semi-translucent, glossy surface. Its most distinctive element is an asymmetrical, deep red vertical accent, seamlessly fused into the glass and boasting a subtle gradient that transitions from light to dark. The red accent, like a painterly gesture in glass, suggests movement and energy, while the milky body brings a sense of calm and luminosity. It recalls an era when Polish artistic glass confidently rivaled international counterparts, both in form and chromatic expression. In a contemporary interior, the vase can be paired with furniture featuring clean lines, as well as with other mid-century or modern decorative objects in neutral tones. Placing it on a darker surface will accentuate the color contrast and the way light plays in the
