This vase, designed by Zbigniew Horbowy for Huta Szkła 'Sudety' in Szczytna Śląska in 1971, exemplifies the approach of Polish mid-century modernism to form and color. Crafted from mass-colored, cased, and foamed soda glass using the 'antico' technique, it features a vibrant, translucent olive green that deepens towards the base into an almost forest green shade. The sculptural body consists of a cylindrical upper section, a pronounced rounded collar at the midsection, and a flared, conical base, which creates a sense of architectural balance. Measuring 24 cm in height and 15 cm in diameter, the vase’s proportions emphasize verticality. The surface is adorned with numerous tiny air bubbles characteristic of the 'antico' foaming process, lending depth and visual lightness. The piece is preserved in very good condition, free from damage or restoration. This object “speaks” with the voice of 1970s Poland—a time when glass and color became fields of artistic experimentation, and glasswork merged with creative audacity. The olive-green hue, smooth reflective surface, and rhythmic air bubbles evoke the atmosphere of Horbowy’s studio
