The Ditmar Jolana vase was created in Czechoslovakia in the late 1960s to early 1970s, crafted by the renowned Ditmar Urbach brand. Made of light stoneware, the piece features a tall, cylindrical form with straight, vertical walls and a gently flared lip. The dominant hue is a warm, creamy ivory with a subtle satin-matte finish that softly diffuses light. Its defining decorative element consists of vertical, irregular streaks of glossy amber-brown glaze that cascade dynamically from the neck down the body. The surface reveals fine, rhythmic ribbing produced on the potter’s wheel, emphasizing the handcrafted nature and artisanal origins. Devoid of any metal or wooden fittings, the vase’s construction is purely ceramic. The piece remains in excellent condition—showing no damage, repairs, or signs of wear—and retains its original mark beneath.
