ABOUT PRODUCTID 36983
This tall porcelain vase from the 'Lidia' series was created in the 1960s at the renowned Ćmielów manufactory, designed by Wincenty Potacki—one of the leading figures in Polish modernist porcelain. The slender, minimalist form gently widens towards the top, with a distinct, softly flared neck. The color palette flows seamlessly from a pastel pink at the rim, through creamy white in the middle section, to a delicate pastel blue at the base, forming a harmonious gradient on the smooth, glossy surface. The porcelain is glazed and hand-painted. An authentic Ćmielów 'Made in Poland' signature underscores its craftsmanship and period provenance. The vase is preserved in very good condition, with no visible damage, discoloration, or signs of wear. This vase quietly tells the story of Polish modernism—a time when function and purity of form met artistic subtlety. Its pastel hues and clear silhouette reflect the atmosphere of the 1960s, when Polish porcelain embraced modernity without abandoning grace. In its slender shape and gentle color transitions, one senses the restrained lyricism characteristic of Potacki’s designs—as if each detail dreams of a brighter, more refined interior. The 'Lidia' vase can be combined with minimalist mid-century accessories or contemporary ceramics to accentuate its modernist heritage. It works well as a subtle highlight on a low sideboard, surrounded by light wood, transparent glass, or a single slender branch. It brings a sense of freshness to both austere and eclectic interiors—consider pairing it with muted textiles or 1960s graphics to create a balanced, cohesive arrangement.
