ABOUT PRODUCTID 13919
This glass vase, produced in the 1970s by Krakowski Instytut Szkła to a design by Jerzy Słuczan-Orkusz, features an exceptionally tall, slender neck and a wide, rounded base. Made of glass in a translucent, warm violet hue with a subtle gradient—lighter, almost smoky tones at the neck gradually transition into a deeper, more saturated purple toward the base. The surface shows delicate milky nuances and air trace streaks, characteristic of hand-blown glass, giving each piece a unique character. Decoration is limited to a single detail: a gold and black manufacturer's emblem near the rim emphasizes provenance and authenticity. The surfaces remain consistently glossy with a pronounced finish and sharply defined edges. No restoration, damage, or wear is evident – the condition is very good, with a clean, scratch-free gloss, suitable for collector presentation. This piece captures the spirit of Polish modernism at the turn of the 1960s and 70s—its lustrous surface reflecting a search for harmony between light and color, the minimal form balanced by an organically flared rim echoing Scandinavian inspirations. The soft, dynamic color transitions evoke optical phenomena prized by the postwar avant-garde, while the elevated form invites everyday rituals shaped by refined glasswork. As a silent witness to an era of technological experiment and artistic boldness, this vase resonates with the aspirations of its time: objects blending everyday function with aesthetic restraint. The vase can
