Designed by Pavel Hlava in the 1960s, this vase exemplifies the finest Czechoslovakian glassmaking of the modernist era. Its tall, slender form with a hexagonal cross-section is crafted from hand-faceted crystal glass, revealing a layered composition of color. The transparent crystal creates a glossy, almost mirror-like surface, beneath which lie saturated strata of deep blue, green, and a striking red core running vertically through the center. The sharply faceted sides intensify the prismatic effect, heightening the interplay of light and color, while the vase’s proportions—28.5 cm high, 8 cm wide—underscore its mid-century modern character.
