ABOUT PRODUCTID 1827
Designed by Jaroslav Beranek for the Skrdlovice glassworks, this vase was created in Czechoslovakia around 1960. Hand-formed from multicolored artistic glass, it presents a substantial, sculptural silhouette with an organic, free-flowing form. Deep saturated amethyst purple transitions into vibrant cobalt blue at the base, while subtle greenish undertones emerge where the colors blend. The highly polished surface is accentuated by pronounced, asymmetrical bulges and indentations—hallmarks of Czech modernist glass from the 1960s. Each side reveals a different aspect, emphasizing the uniqueness of its handmade origin. The vase features a thick, stable, ground base and no cracks or chips are visible, only minimal wear at the base. Its overall preservation is very good, characteristic for collectible vintage glassware from this era.
