This vase, designed by Jerzy Słuczan-Orkusz for the Tarnowiec Glassworks in the 1980s, features hand-formed sodalime glass in a form standing 22.5 cm high and 12 cm in diameter. Its architecture is defined by a wide, outwardly flared rim that transitions into a subtly concave neck, flowing into a stepped, ribbed central section with a geometrically rounded base. Two small, symmetrical, clear glass handles positioned at the sides are hand-shaped into elegant scrolls, serving a decorative as well as functional role. The color scheme is dominated by a delicate, translucent pink with beige undertones, with color gradation from a more saturated hue at the top to an almost clear, beige-tinged base. The finish is glossy and virtually mirror-like; all transitions are expertly crafted, with no scratches, signs of wear, or restoration visible. The vase displays a level of craft and detail characteristic of Polish glassmaking of the era, with clear references to Art Deco geometry in its lower section. The vase echoes the voice of 1980s Polish design—a time of transition, where echoes of Art Deco are captured in the geometric base and clarity of form, softened by light, pastel tones suggesting restraint and modern
