ABOUT PRODUCTID 29569
A very large decorative vase from the 1960s, attributed to the Fratelli Toso glassworks in Murano, is an example of Italian art glass in the mid-century modern style. Its form is defined by a dynamic, twisted spiral that runs from the thick, stable base up to the dramatically flared and undulating rim. The color palette transitions gradually from deep cobalt blue at the base, through a clear, transparent section in the middle, to a rich amethyst purple and pink at the sculptural rim. The highly polished, glossy surface gives the glass a liquid-like effect, while the organic spikes and folds at the edge evoke the look of flower petals or flames. Made from thick, hand-blown glass, the vase has a notable weight (2.8 kg) and a collectible presence. Its proportions—39 cm high, up to 26 cm in diameter—make it a striking decorative accent. The vase is preserved in excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks, showing only minimal, superficial scratches consistent with gentle use.
