This porcelain vase, designed by Danuta Duszniak for the Ćmielów Porcelain Factory, dates from the 1980s. The vase features a slender silhouette, with a slightly flared neck and a wider base, embodying the modernist design language of the late 20th century. The dominant color is a deep mustard yellow with a glossy, glazed finish, giving the surface a vibrant and reflective quality. Vertical abstract white panels are decorated with thin, hand-painted black lines, creating a dynamic optical effect and accentuating the verticality of the form. The piece is signed 'Ćmielów 1790' on the base, confirming its authenticity. The vase is preserved in very good condition, without visible damage or signs of wear. This piece speaks in the voice of 1980s Polish modernism: geometric discipline merged with bold, saturated color, as if the vase is telling a story of an era searching for new rhythms in abstraction and pure form. The mustard yellow and dynamic lines lift the eye upward, creating a sense of lightness and energy while evoking the spirit of Polish design that, even in the challenging context of late-communist Poland, found ways to express optimism and visual freshness. The vase can be displayed solo on a geometric sideboard or low shelf in a bright living room, where its warm yellow tones will flourish in natural light. It would also pair well with other vessels of simple shapes—white or black—to highlight the abstract pattern. It can be combined with mid-century modern furniture or minimalist accents, allowing the color and the rhythm of the lines to take center stage without overwhelming the composition.
