This ceramic vase, designed by Wit Płażewski for the Włocławek faience factory, was produced after 1958 and stands as a fine example of Polish mid-century modernism. The model, marked with the number 300 5535, is distinguished by its sculptural, dynamic form with a pronounced asymmetrical silhouette and a characteristic openwork cutout at the waist. The surface is finished with a glossy glaze, hand-painted with vertical, undulating stripes in deep navy blue and off-white, lending the piece an organic, rhythmic quality reminiscent of nature or tree bark. The interior is glazed in a light cream color, contrasting with the darker exterior. The proportions are carefully considered: a wide, rounded base flows into a slender neck that flares and curves asymmetrically at the top.
