Vase no. 270, designed by Wit Płażewski for the Włocławek Faience Factory after 1958, is a mature example of Polish mid-century modern design. Its tall, slender, cylindrical body—measuring 27.7 cm in height, 11.5 cm in length, and 8.5 cm in width—is crowned by a sculptural top featuring two large, circular handles. The glazed faience surface displays a muted, cool-toned mauve hue that softly transitions into dark black and deep purple shades at the top, with glossy, mirror-like glaze accentuating the watercolor-like, organic gradients. The craftsmanship is precise: handle openings are flawlessly executed and connections remain seamless.
