This ceramic vase from the Fratelli Fanciullacci manufactory exemplifies Italian mid-century modern craftsmanship, created in Montelupo near Florence at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. The silhouette is cylindrical, gently tapering with a subtly flared rim, offering timeless classical proportions. The dominant color is a warm terracotta brown with a matte, slightly rough texture, characteristic of unglazed ceramics. The surface is decorated using the sgraffito technique—hand-carved, colorful motifs: a stylized human figure in white, blue, yellow, orange, and black, alongside a green plant motif.
