This vase, designed by Pavel Stejskal for the Czech glassworks Skrdlovice in the 1970s, is a striking example of artistic glass with a modernist, spherical form. Hand-formed from transparent, high-gloss glass, it features a compact silhouette (12 × 12 × 12 cm) with a small, subtly recessed opening at the top. The key decorative element is the series of cobalt blue inclusions embedded within the clear glass, arranged in a rhythmic, organic pattern around the midsection. These rounded, bubble-like shapes evoke droplets suspended in motion, their even distribution reinforcing the modernist heritage of the object. The surface is smooth and lustrous, with only a gentle relief where the blue accents emerge. The flat, carefully ground base and original signature label attest to its authenticity. The vase is preserved in excellent condition, with no visible signs of use or damage. This piece tells the story of Central European modernism in the 1970s—a time when craftsmanship embraced experimentation and glass became a medium for artistic exploration of light and color. The transparent body appears to suspend deep cobalt blue spots within, as if capturing abstract drops in a moment of stillness. The form remains compact yet unobtrusive, while the blue organic inclusions conjure the spirit of an era seeking new modes of expression through refined materials. The Pavel Stejskal vase can be paired with a minimalist light wood or marble console, where the transparent glass will catch and diffuse natural light. It works well as a stand-alone accent on a shelf or sideboard, but also in combination with other glass or ceramic objects in muted tones. Whether placed in
