This vase, designed by Jerzy Słuczan-Orkusz and produced in the 1970s by Tarnowiec Glassworks, is a representative example of Polish modernist utility glass from the period. The form features an ample, globular body crafted from soda glass, mass-colored in deep turquoise with a subtle opalescence that reveals tonal changes in strong light. The short neck transitions into a wide, outward-flared rim highlighted by a clear glass collar, visually separated by a slightly thickened, transparent edge. The vase rests on a substantial, transparent foot – a thick ring of glass – with a precisely executed joining point, showcasing masterful glasswork. Its surface is smooth, with a predominance of satiny-matte finish on the body and glossy clarity on the rim and foot. The original factory label has been preserved, verifying authenticity. The vase is in excellent condition, with no visible signs of wear or damage. This glass form expresses the voice of Polish 1970s modernism, a period when functionality and clean lines blended with bold color. The
