ABOUT PRODUCTID 14987
The Scheurich Keramik 122-24 vase originates from West Germany in the 1970s. Crafted from well-fired earthenware, it features a cylindrical form with a gently narrowed neck—a silhouette characteristic of the modernist era, enriched with rustic folk detailing. The exterior is coated in a deep, high-gloss cobalt blue glaze, accentuating the vivid hue and bringing the relief patterns into sharp focus. The lower body displays stylized floral and folk-inspired motifs in raised relief, while a band of geometric ovals and dots encircles the top section, a signature element of Scheurich ceramics from this period. The inside is finished in contrasting yellow enamel. The base is signed. The vase is preserved in very good condition, with no noticeable cracks or losses. The vase speaks with the spirit of 1970s German design—a union of modernist form and folk artistry. Each embossed detail offers a narrative of synthesis: bold glossy blue and geometric order weave together with natural motifs, echoing a decade both vibrant and grounded in everyday warmth. The glossy surface reflects light, emphasizing the depth of color and the tactile quality of the ornamentation—an authentic voice from a time seeking balance between invention and familiar tradition. The piece can serve as a standalone accent on a light-wood sideboard, or be paired with mid-century modern furniture. It works well with other glass accessories, a contrasting textile runner, or minimalist ceramics and wall graphics in wooden frames. The vase can hold a single branch but is equally effective as a sculptural, colorful centerpiece in an eclectic living room or bedroom arrangement. The vase measures 24.5 cm in height, 11 cm at its widest diameter, 10 cm at the base, and 8 cm at the opening
