This 'Entwined' vase was designed by Jan Sylwester Drost and produced by the Ząbkowice Glassworks in Dąbrowa Górnicza during the 1970s. Crafted from hand-formed, soda-lime glass colored in the mass, it features a luminous amber-yellow as its dominant shade, complemented by a glossy, transparent finish. The lower portion of the vessel is distinguished by a bold, raised 'woven' pattern: swirling bands of white, blue, and subtle red-orange glass create an irregular, marbled effect with a distinctly tactile surface. In contrast, the slender neck remains smooth and clear. The overall form is a modernist teardrop or bottle silhouette, with a broad, rounded base tapering into a cylindrical neck. The flat, ground base attests to the care taken in finishing. The vase is preserved in very good condition, showing no damage or signs of use. This vase channels the spirit of Polish modernism of the 1970s, when artistic glass became a field for bold experimentation with color and texture. Its vibrant 'entwined' motif evokes an era where craftsmanship and design innovation met in the search for new forms—it's as if the vase itself seeks to capture the energy of those years filled with contrast and creative drive. The transparent amber glows softly as light passes through, while the textured surface recalls the dynamism and expressive quality of Polish applied arts. The vase can be paired with a simple, wooden sideboard or a 1960s chest of drawers, highlighting its roots in modernist form. It would work well in mid-century modern interiors as well as
