ABOUT PRODUCTID 29588
This vintage porcelain vase from the Fürstenberg manufactory (Germany, 1960s/1970s) exemplifies high-quality ceramic craftsmanship, uniting a classic bulbous silhouette with a flared, scalloped rim and a slightly raised, stable foot. The body is finished in a crisp, cool white with a lustrous, glossy surface characteristic of fine porcelain. A hand-painted decorative floral band encircles the widest part of the vase: vibrant shades of magenta, deep red, cobalt blue, and golden yellow intermingle with delicate accents of pink and purple, forming a richly colored stylized frieze. Both the rim and the base are adorned with hand-applied gilding: the rim features a broad gold band with a scalloped edge and a thin magenta line below, while the base is finished with a narrower gold band. The style merges mid-century modern elements with traditional European decorative sensibility, and the floral motif hints at chinoiserie influences. The underside bears the manufacturer's mark. The condition is excellent: there are no chips or cracks, and only minimal, uniform wear to the gilding attests to its vintage authenticity.
This vase tells the story of the 1960s and 1970s, when European porcelain manufactories like Fürstenberg revisited traditional forms and motifs
